Putrajaya, 16 July -- The Malaysia International Musical Fireworks Competition is back again and this time, the event returns with a bigger bang, promising more than just brilliant and breathtaking firework displays to the public. To add festivity and merriment to the air, Putrajaya Tourism Action Council and Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) have jointly planned another event to coincide with the competition, held for the first time in Putrajaya.



This time around, a carnival and an exhibition will be held in conjunction with the competition, promising excitement and so much more to those who will converge to the beautiful federal administrative capital for the event. The Merdeka Carnival and Exhibition 2008, to be held for nine days from August 12 till 29, 2008, promises fun and merriment to everyone, irrespective their age and background. The spacious and grand Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) will be the venue for a host of carnival activities that will surely excite the young and young-at-heart.

For those who enjoy entertainment, take note. A mini concert featuring popular local entertainers will also be held as a treat to those attending the event. An exhibition, offering a long list of products and services will also be held to give a further boost to the carnival atmosphere at the PICC. One will certainly be spoilt for choice over the wide range of products that will be on sale at the exhibition, ranging from spa products, health supplements to shoes and toys for the young ones. To appease thirst and hunger pangs, there will be food stalls and kiosks available, offering a wide variety of food and drinks that promises to satisfy even the most discerning patrons.
